I am excited to share a sneak peek into one of the exciting projects I’m producing, writing, and directing as part of Corus’ Creative Services team!

We’re currently deep into post-production after a fantastic shoot last week with Alberta Chicken Producers and Emily Mardell, RD. This project is made up of three parts: a Trending segment, a 15-second commercial, and a 1-minute social media video. It’s been such a rewarding experience working as a Commercial Producer and Writer here at Corus.

Ready to explore Canada with me this holiday season? There's going to be a Seeing Canada marathon coming up on CPAC - Cable Public Affairs Channel.

Holiday Marathon Schedule (All times in EST):

Christmas Day (Dec 25) – Season 4 starts at Noon
Boxing Day (Dec 26) – Season 3 starts at 10 AM
New Year’s Day (Jan 1) – Season 4 begins at 4 PM

In Season 3, we connect with Canada’s incredible culinary scene, explore its beautiful nature, and dive into the rich diversity of cultures. We also uncover stories of Indigenous tourism, Black History, and Southwestern Ontario’s deep ties to the Underground Railroad.

In Season 4, we continue the journey with even more — connecting with Canada’s food, nature, diverse cultures, unique characters, and the powerful stories of Indigenous tourism.

I’m so excited for you to join me on this journey — I hope to inspire you to explore new places and see Canada in a whole new light.

Food's Footprint with Brandy Yanchyk is now on ...

I do love growing food and making films so this new series Food's Footprint with Brandy Yanchyk makes me very happy. It focuses on sustainable agriculture and the future of food.

So far I have made three short videos about five minutes each. Please enjoy them and think about all the wonderful things you could be growing in your garden.

I love my job as a documentary filmmaker. Sometimes I think I would be rich if I'd chosen another career. It's true, I'm not financially rich but today it's worth it. Seeing my travel show Seeing Canada on the TV Guide from Buffalo's WNEDstation makes it all worth it. I grew up in Toronto watching the PBS channel dreaming that one day I might make TV. That dream came true.
